Puddle Jumpers is a non-profit, non-government organisation committed to responding to the social development needs of society’s most vulnerable children and young people. The Lyone Foundation funded Puddle Jumpers SA $10,000 to support their aim of empowering children. Through this program children are able to recognise and express their individual abilities, interests, and talents, and to provide each child and young person with a transformative opportunity to grow and develop their own capacities and competencies.
Jumpstart is an early intervention camp for young mums & their children run by Puddle Jumpers. The camp gives young mothers in the community a chance to come together, share stories and take part in various activities. The Lyone Foundation funding of $10,000 allowed for 15-30 children and 25-30 places for volunteers. Overall, a total of 55-80 people benefited from this program.
