The Lyone Foundation has generously donated $5,000 in funding to Parkinson’s Tasmania, an organisation dedicated to improving the lives of individuals affected by Parkinson's disease.
Living with Parkinson's disease can be challenging as it involves motor difficulties, tremors, and muscle stiffness. Daily tasks can become more demanding, requiring adjustments and support. However, with proper care, treatment, and a supportive network, individuals can continue to lead fulfilling lives.
Parkinson’s Tasmania is a voluntary non-profit organisation providing support for people living with Parkinson’s disease and their carers and families. They provide educational resources for people affected by Parkinson’s disease and those working in the Health Sector, e.g., Nursing Homes, Community Health workers and interested groups.
The contribution from the Lyone Foundation will enable Parkinson’s Tasmania to expand its programs and services, enhancing the quality of life for Parkinson's patients. The funds will be utilised to assist with specialised therapy, support group activities, raise disease awareness, and support research initiatives for improved treatments.
