Feed the Little Children aims to take away the fear and loss of hope that food insecurity brings through the provision of nutritious and nourishing meals as a form of community outreach. The $10,000 from the Lyone Foundation enables Feed the Little Children (FTLC) to run Kids Cooking Classes for 30–40 students per year.
Children learn about and cook a variety of foods, including chicken, steamed greens, bolognese with vegetables, and more. The success comes down to close personal attention, due to small class sizes, fantastic volunteers, and a guest speaker from the community who shows the children the importance of proper nutrition.
