Orange Sky Australia provides a platform for the 116,000 Australians experiencing homelessness to connect through a regular laundry and shower service. They strive to achieve their mission by creating a safe, positive and supportive environment for people who are too often ignored or who feel disconnected. Orange Sky continued to build their shifts and volunteer numbers across Australia following the impact of COVID-19. A donation from the Lyone Foundation would be used by Orange Sky Australia to continue rebuilding their Adelaide service through the introduction of additional shifts and recruitment of more volunteers. A $10,000 donation would directly support (at a minimum) 347 people experiencing homelessness and indirectly support a further 278 people. The funding enables a minimum of 35 shifts, 417 loads of laundry and 278 hours of genuine conversation and connection.
