Lyone Foundation donates $7,500 to neurosurgical research in South Australia

The Lyone Foundation has donated $7,500 to the NeuroSurgical Research Foundation (NRF) to support research into diseases and injuries of the brain, spine and nerves.

NRF funds research undertaken at Australian universities and teaching hospitals. Its work covers conditions including brain tumours, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and traumatic brain and spinal cord injury.

The donation will contribute to one of NRF’s 2027 funded research projects. These grants use funds raised in 2025–26 for projects scheduled to start in 2027. NRF has not identified which project will receive the Lyone Foundation’s donation.

COS also has a presence in South Australia, where NRF supports neurosurgical research.

The Lyone Foundation was established by the Lyone family in 2013 to support Australian charities and community organisations. Its work is made possible through COS, which contributes 1% of its annual revenue to the Foundation.
