Far North QLD Hospital Foundation is a charity that partners with the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service and the Torress and Cape Hospital and Health Service to enhance the delivery of health care across the region. Due to their commercial operations, 100 per cent of every dollar donated stays local and goes directly to healthcare improvement.
The donation from the Lyone Foundation of $5,000 will assist with the Comfort Care Packs Cancer Care (Palliative Patients) project. The packs will include practical and comforting items designed to support patients and their loved ones during end-of-life care. This support will help bring comfort, dignity and a sense of care to those experiencing an incredibly challenging time.
