Hope in a Suitcase is a not-for-profit organisation, run by volunteers who are passionate about showing every child in the foster care system that they are loved and valued by their community. They aim to do this by providing a suitcase of their very own to ensure they have a safe and secure place in which to pack their belongings and take with them wherever their journey may lead.
The donation of $13,500 from the Lyone Foundation to Hope in a Suitcase will assist in putting together a full set of 40 suitcases. Along with 14 much needed newborn and teen suitcases delivered to various hospitals. With the cost of a suitcases averaging $185, this donation will assist a total of 54 children.
