Jack Beasley Foundation

Jack Beasley Foundation

The Jack Beasley Foundation was born out of a deep desire to address the rising issue of knife violence among young people. The foundation’s origins trace back to the Beasley family, who tragically lost their beloved son, Jack, to a senseless act of knife-related violence. In the wake of this devastating loss, they channelled their grief into action, vowing to prevent similar tragedies from befalling other families.

The donation of $9,500 will support the ‘One Moment’ Program, launching in approximately 29 Brisbane schools. Delivered by Jack Beasley’s parents, the program educates youth on the dangers of carrying knives through a one-hour presentation highlighting the long-term impact of youth violence on offenders, victims, and their loved ones. A Police Officer then provides information on knife laws, legal consequences, and the awareness around becoming a victim. The program highlights first-hand how life can change in ‘One Moment’ of senseless violence, whilst promoting better decisions and choices. Â
